In this video I’ll show you how to conduct a Ruger Security 9 field strip- like I neglected to do in my shooting video! This little 9mm pistol is easy to disassemble and reassemble using only a 9mm casing as a tool.
n this video we take a look at a great budget bushcraft blade, the Varusteleka Jaakaripuukko 140. If you’re searching for a bombproof knife that won’t break the bank, this one is worth looking at. It makes a gread bushcraft knife or survival knife, as its spine is nice and thick and tapers to a razor sharp edge. This knife deserves a place in any bug out bag!
Check out Varusteleka’s website!
(You can find the knife here if you just want to look at it alone…)
in this video, the Ruger Security 9 Range Review, we take a look at Ruger’s latest entry in the inexpensive 9mm pistol category. Whether you are looking for a home defense weapon or an inexpensive carry gun, this pistol deserves a look. It’s light weight combined with it’s 15 round capacity and $300 street price make it a contender in the value-priced pistol market.

I took some time today to get out and shoot my Star BM pistol. I got it from Classic Firearms, and as of July 3rd, 2018 they still have them in stock for a mere $199! Get one if you can at https://www.classicfirearms.com/star-model-bm-9mm-8rd-original-box-manual
Here’s my range review video:
As those who follow the Youtube Channel probably already know, I met Hap from Newbold Targets at the USCCA Expo in Louisville. Newbold was kind enough to send me some samples to review and I gotta tell ya- I LIKE THEM! They’re easy to set up and use, and you don’t have the worries associated with steel, like backsplatter, rust, and portability. The projectiles pass right through the Newbold targets so ricochets aren’t an issue. This lets a shooter get as close as they want to the target without fear- something which could be especially helpful for letting a new shooter get confidence-building hits.
All in all, I highly recommend Newbold’s innovative line of targets!
You can find them HERE.
The rule of thumb is that you can go three weeks without food, three days without water, and three hours without shelter, so it behooves you to carry some means of making shelter whenever you go out in the woods. Here are a couple videos on just that topic.

Yep, there’s no other way to describe it- I’ve been lazy. I haven’t posted SHIT here in a long time… too long.
Looks like I have to change that…
While at the USCCA Expo I found this neat little 2 piece gizmo, which acts as both a chamber insert and barrel flag, as well as a magazine blocker, which together allows you to engage in dry fire training without running the risk of accidentally inserting a live round into the mix. The BarrelBlok training aid can be found here.
This look at CCW Breakaways Concealed Carry Pants is a re-up of a great video that I deleted by accident! I met Jay from CCW Breakaways at the USCCA Concealed Carry Expo, and I was intrigued by his unique, innovative product. I pocket carry a LOT, and I was VERY glad to see this method of carrying a larger pistol in a deeper concealment. These are PERFECT for use in a “gray man” role. Look for a more in-depth review in the very near future…
The world lost a giant personality yesterday. R. Lee Ermey, best know for his portrayal of Gunnery Sgt. Hartman in Full Metal Jacket, went to the Parade Ground in the sky due to complications related to pneumonia. He was 74.
One thing is absolutely certain: The current residents of the Barracks in Heaven had BETTER get their shit squared away ASAP. The Gunny would tolerate no less.
